Her Best Foot Forward is a US-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women. Since 2015, we have used 100% of net proceeds from our artisan product sales and charitable donations to sustain dignified work for women Artisans and to operate behind UhuruPads—Africa’s first compostable sanitary pad production and distribution initiative.

We engage compassionate leaders — Artisans, Health Advocates, Educators, and Volunteers — to champion menstrual health solutions that help girls in East Africa stay in school with confidence and dignity. Our US team serves entirely on a volunteer basis, allowing every donation and every product purchase to directly support the women and girls we serve.

Your generosity directly empowers the all-woman team behind UhuruPads, our 100% compostable sanitary pad production and humanitarian distribution program. Each donation provides dignified employment for women who manufacture eco-friendly pads locally in East Africa. Once produced, these pads are distributed to girls in need through schools — along with vital health and hygiene education and new undergarments that help restore confidence and dignity.
Because our pads cost only pennies to produce, every single contribution makes a meaningful impact. 100% of your donation supports the production and humanitarian distribution of UhuruPads. Our U.S. team is entirely volunteer-based, and minimal administrative costs are covered by sales of our artisan products.
