The rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people - in particular the intricate and creative beading which is their hallmark - is celebrated in every product we make. The best part is that 100% of net proceeds from product sales support the Artisans themselves and our signature initiative, UhuruPads - East Africa's first 100% compostable sanitary pads (employing the women who make them and allowing the girls who receive them to remain in school with confidence and dignity).

We need your support to continue to provide employment for the all-woman team operating our 100% compostable sanitary pad production facility and program in East Africa, UhuruPads. Once our eco-friendly pads are made, we distribute them to girls in need, along with affirming health and hygiene education, and new undergarments!
Every gift matters: as our pads cost pennies, truly every penny counts. Please note that 100% of your contribution supports the production and humanitarian distribution of UhuruPads. The Foot Forward Fund has no paid US staff and our limited administrative costs are covered via our product sales.

Monthly Giving. As advocates for menstrual hygiene equity for many years, it's likely no surprise that we're pretty obsessed with all things "monthly!" We've created our 5|28 Circle as a special designation we provide to donors who choose to support us monthly. Why 5/28? Glad you asked!
