We've been working in East Africa for more than awhile.  In 2017, we helped to found UhuruPads - a production facility making compostable sanitary pads and the providing the pads, along with menstrual health and education, to girls in need. We accept donations to support UhuruPads and include :

Outreach, Inc., a US 501c3 which has been working Tanzania for more than a decade, has a unique model which makes it possible for vulnerable street children to go to school, having received a nutritious meal provided by one of the Outreach Children's Centers.  For some children, a lack of nutrition is the only obstacle to learning; others need basic assistance (a uniform, school supplies, an assignment notebook). Outreach, with support from generous donors, responds by providing all the children who visit its centers with a safe and nurturing place to play and grow and nutritious food. For the poorest of the poor, additional, basic necessities are provided, allowing them to have the best opportunity to receive an education, a force which enables them to rise up from extreme poverty.  
When you designate your proceeds to facilitate girls' school attendance or women and children's health, Outreach is among our deserving charities. Your beautiful proceeds will allow more girls to attend school (through the provision of uniforms, school materials, and related educational needs) as well as facilitate well visits for women and children through the Outreach Medical Mission program, which has treated more than 5,000 patients in rural areas of Tanzania.
WorldServe Interational, is a leading provider of clean water wells in Eastern Africa. A US 501c3, WorldServe has spent nearly two decades working in the region - and it shows. Today, more than three million people in East Africa receive clean water from a WorldServe well. Beyond the critical factors of improved health and a reduction in childhood deaths, having access to a clean water source means those tasked with gathering the family's water - generally the women and girls - have the opportunity to lead more productive lives. Just reducing the distance to a water source by 15 minutes results in a 12% increase of girls’ school attendance; women can grow nutritious food, and provide for their families.
