Simu Socket - Phone Grips
Our Simu Socket phone grips are fashionable accessories that help transform how you "manage your mobile." Simu (the Swahili word for phone) helps you to grip your phone more securely, stand it up to watch your favorite show, or keep track of your earbuds!
Each Simu piece starts with a small circle of leather which is carefully beaded by hand: Affix to your phone using the strong adhesive on the back - which can be re-positioned over time.
Simu was a happy outcome of our 2018 UhuruPads mission. When our Tanzanian team members saw one of our Summer Champions (Paige: who hails from Virginia and was in country to share our biodegradable sanitary pads and health and hygiene with school girls!) using her traditional U.S. phone grip, they were excited. Could they make one...but with Tanzanian style? You bet! It's Simu!
